Course summary

This degree offers the chance to choose from a variety of specialist modules in both Politics and International Relations.
You will study national systems, political theory, and world politics, with the opportunity for comparative analysis.

You can choose from a range of specialist modules allowing you to structure the course largely according to your own interests, choosing topics such as:

  • inequality and justice

  • environmental politics

  • regional political systems

  • international security

You can undertake, and report on, an independently conducted research exercise and you’ll have the opportunity to study abroad at one of our partner institutions across the world.

At least one A level from a social science is preferred but not required. General Studies is accepted.

34 points with three subjects at Higher level grade 5 or above.

Extended Project

We welcome applications from students offering an Extended Project and value the skills of research and independent learning that it is designed to develop. If you offer an Extended Project, it will be taken into account as part of your application profile, but we will not usually include it in offer conditions for this degree programme
