Course summary
Our 1-year 3D Animation course is designed for students who have completed a relevant course at Level 4 & 5, and who are passionate about creating 3D digital content and animations for film and games. The program focuses on developing the latest skills to enhance your future career opportunities.
Students will learn comprehensive 3D modeling and animation workflows, including rigging, texturing and shading, lighting, rendering, and post-production.
Assessment is based on coursework, ensuring practical application of skills. A significant component of the year is the individual project, allowing students to create an impressive portfolio that will bolster their career prospects.
This course is ideal for aspiring 3D content creators, animators, and visualisation artists, and it prepares students to tackle the diverse challenges faced by industry professionals, ensuring they are well-equipped for roles in the dynamic field of 3D animation and digital content creation.
Successful graduates are employed by some of the UK’s leading 3D animation and visualisation studios and industry partners. These partners are influential in the design and development of our courses. They also assist with regular guest lectures and workshops whilst providing feedback and critique on student work. This means you get the most up-to-date career-relevant input from industry experts.
Bournemouth and Poole College is proud to partner with Arts University Bournemouth and with Epic Games as an Unreal Academic Partner where we offer excellent studio-based facilities with the latest industry-standard software, and all necessary resources, including a fully operational green screen studio.
