Our Mechanical Engineering BEng(Hons) with integrated foundation year course offers an extra year to prepare you for degree-level study. Choosing the foundation year means you’ll enter your degree fully prepared. You’ll feel at home on campus, have established relationships with the staff in your academic school, and most important you’ll be excited about your subject. You’ll be well-equipped to dive into your degree from day one.

When you successfully complete the foundation year, you can progress to the Mechanical Engineering BEng(Hons) when you’ll work with other engineering students and innovative researchers on challenging and rewarding projects, such as fighting robots, rocket cars, and the international Engineering Without Borders challenge.
