Course summary

The Foundation Degree (FdSc) in Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences is a two-year full-time programme delivered at Worthing College.

It has been developed to equip individuals with the scientific knowledge relevant to the health and fitness industry as well as the necessary professional qualifications and skills. The programme is principally aimed at individuals who wish to enter or develop a career within the health and fitness industry.

To accommodate the principles and defining characteristics of a Foundation Degree, the programme is delivered through a modular mode of study, blending traditional methods of teaching and learning with aspects of work-based learning to ensure that individuals can draw on the work-based responsibilities that they undertake in each academic year.

Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016) MMP - DDD

GCSE/National 4/National 5

English, Maths and Science/Biology are required at grade C/4 or above.

All students complete an interview and mature Learners can present a portfolio of relevant work experience and undertake an assessment as part of their application.
