Course summary

This course is designed to provide a doctoral level education and professional qualification; a doctoral level research project is combined with a taught programme of modules and with counselling psychology practice in a range of placements; research, theory, personal development, professional development and practice are integrated in the concept of the reflective practitioner; students are required to combine personal history with explicit use of psychological theory in analysing the process of therapy and as a basis for mindful practice; the part-time route allows a combining training with employment, possibly within a psychology post.
