Brand and Marketing Management

Developed with and accredited by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), our BA (Hons) Brand and Marketing Management degree at Cardiff Met ensures you gain the latest industry knowledge and practical skills with our industry-aligned curriculum. Our CIM ‘Accredited Degree’ status also provides you with the opportunity to gain exemptions from CIM Certificate and Diploma in Professional and Digital Marketing qualifications.

Creativity is a highly valued attribute in the branding and marketing industry and assignments are designed to develop ideas, encourage risk taking and support the creation of memorable branding materials.

Get hands-on with specialist industry software and put theory into practice during your Branding in Practice module in your second year. Our lecturers, who are both research-active and industry-experienced, will teach you the essential skills you need for the workplace after graduation.

You will have the opportunity to join our ‘Met Marketers’ society and CIM Student chapter to engage in creative and entrepreneurial activities. Take on the global CIM The Pitch competition and tackle a real-life marketing challenge set by a leading charity, where top finalists get the chance to pitch their ideas directly to the client.

You will leave us as an industry ready professional with a wide base of marketing knowledge, specialist branding expertise and real-world experience to stand out in the graduate job market.

We offer this degree with two study options. You can choose three years full-time or four years full-time which would include a one-year industry placement between years two and three that will give you hands-on experience in a real-life working environment. This year in industry gives you practical skills that many employers seek, giving you a competitive edge upon graduation.

To work as a teacher at a state school in England or Wales, you will need to achieve qualified teacher status (QTS). This is offered on this course for the following level:
