Course summary
Our accredited course will prepare students for a career as a skilled, creative professional specialising in aerospace engineering.
We work with industry experts and our accrediting bodies to ensure that students develop the knowledge and skills needed in the workplace.
Working with other engineering specialists on challenging and rewarding projects, and the chance to join our Formula Student team, gives students an experience that mirrors industry. Placements and guest lectures provide valuable professional insight and networking opportunities.
Students learn with innovative researchers and develop your practical skills using our specialist facilities including a wind tunnel, flight simulators and the Sir Harry Ricardo Laboratories with IC engine test beds.
Our Aerospace Engineering MEng offers an extra year of study at master’s level.
This course is accredited by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) and the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET).

Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016) - DMM
To include 'further maths for engineering techs'
Access to HE Diploma - M: 24 credits
Pass Access to HE Diploma with at least 45 credits at Level 3, to include 24 credits at Merit or above. Must achieve Level 3 units in Maths and a Physical Science.
International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme - 26 points
Must include three subjects at Higher Level, two to be Maths and Physics at grade 5.
Leaving Certificate - Higher Level (Ireland) (first awarded in 2017) - H3, H3, H3, H4, H4

Additional fee information
Please note that the £13,842 international fee is for classroom based courses and provisional for 2023. For lab based courses a higher fee of £14,892 applies. EU students will be charged international fees unless they have settled status awarded by the UK Government's Settlement Scheme.
Further tuition fees are payable for each subsequent year of study and are subject to an annual increase of no more than 5% or RPI (whichever is the greater). The annual increase for UK/EU students, who are subject to regulated fees, will increase no more than the statutory maximum fee.
The tuition fee you have to pay depends on a number of factors including the kind of course you take, and whether you study full-time or part-time. If you are studying part-time you will normally be charged on a pro rata basis depending on the number of modules you take. If your course includes a sandwich year option you will pay a reduced fee during this year; £1,370 for home students and £2,120 for international students.

You may have to pay additional costs during your studies. The cost of optional activities is not included in your tuition fee and you will need to meet this cost in addition to your fees.
