Course summary

Course Overview

Our LLB (Hons) Law with Business combines an internationally recognised LLB degree with a broad understanding of modern business, ensuring you will be perfectly placed to pursue a successful professional career in a legal or business context.

Why study with us

  • We have excellent industry links. We regularly invite external speakers from the legal profession to talk to students.

  • Many staff are professionally qualified and research active, which informs their teaching.

  • Our Business Law Clinic, Pro Bono Law Clinic, and Mediation Clinic give you first-hand experiences of legal practice, providing countless opportunities to deal with real cases.

What you'll do

  • Guest speakers join us on campus regularly, including successful School alumni who are now judges, QCs, CEOs, Chief of Police and more.

  • You can join the Student Law Society, which is run by students for students, and arranges events such as trips to London to visit the Supreme Court, the Royal Courts of Justice and the Old Bailey, a Law Ball and numerous guest speakers.

  • We aim to enhance your experience through travel. You could visit the European Commission in Brussels, the European Parliament and the European Commission in Luxembourg.

Future Careers

After successfully completing our combined LLB (Hons), you can continue on to the professional element of legal training.

If you wish to become a solicitor, you can continue your studies on our legal practice course, the LLM in Legal practice LLM. However, you can also take the Bar Professional Training course if you wish to become a barrister.

Contextual admissions

Universities and colleges consider more than grades when assessing applications and may make offers based on a range of criteria. Learn more about contextual offers.

Widening participation is at the core of our mission. We believe in helping people to seize every opportunity to flourish in education and work, for life. We offer reduced entry tariffs for students from areas of relative disadvantage, with lower rates of participation in higher education, as well as those who have spent time in the care system. Simply include your care leaver status and postcode on your UCAS application and we will automatically make you a contextual offer if you are eligible.
