Course summary

As a mental health nurse you will work in partnership with individuals experiencing mental health difficulties from a wide range of backgrounds and age-groups. You will draw on a core set of values that inform every aspect of your practice. You will learn to respect individuals affected by mental health problems, value the aspirations of the individual, offer meaningful choices in evidence based interventions and care and adopt a positive attitude to change and support social inclusion.

Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016) - DMM - DDM

Health & Social care or other health related subject

Access to HE Diploma

45 credits at level 3, which must equate to a minimum of 112 UCAS tariff points

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme

112-120 points from a minimum of 2 HL subjects at grade 4 or above (the remaining points to come from a combination of HL, SL and Core).
