With the option to focus on specific areas like neurodiversity and autism, or supporting social, emotional, and mental health, you’ll develop essential skills recognised by employers across education, health, and social care sectors.

Graduates in this area go on to work in diverse settings, from early years to secondary education, and specialist roles like domestic abuse support, SEND case workers, and family support workers. Many also pursue further study, such as PGCEs leading to Qualified Teacher Status or postgraduate qualifications in social work or child nursing.

You’ll be taught through a series of lectures, seminars, tutorials and interactive workshops. On average, 16%* of the study time on the course is spent with your tutors (either face to face or online) in lectures, seminars, tutorials etc. You’ll also have a personal tutor who’ll be assigned to you throughout your degree to support your ongoing wellbeing and ensure that you have a positive learning experience.
