Course summary
The aim of this online Top Up Programme is to provide students with knowledge and understanding of the key aspects of business and management appropriate to organisations in the modern world. In doing so, it seeks to inculcate in them, through the learning experiences offered, many of the skills and competences which allow for effective managerial behaviour in today’s complex organisations and turbulent business environments. Everything is done in order to make students “work ready” at the point of graduation.
The top up programme offers a blend of modules which shall empower students who are already professionally active, job seekers or even those purposefully knowledge seekers needing to rationalise their existing career, refocus their professional strategy and align with modern business and management trends. Students will be given opportunities to research a range of sectors/industries, explore their challenges and make recommendations on how organisations can improve.
The choice of modules reflects the key disciplinary areas that are most pertinent with business management today. Through the modules, students will gain an in-depth knowledge and application of strategic management, human resource management in context, managing projects, digital. The programme places emphasis on the acquisition of the key employability skills needed by modern workplaces.
Please note this course can be studied full-time over 1 year or part-time over 2 years.
