Course summary

The University of Bradford and Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust have partnered to establish an off-site nursing school and degree programme at Dewsbury and District Hospital.

The school aims to boost nursing recruitment for the Trust and widen degree course participation in the local area by offering our existing pre-registration BSc (Hons) Nursing programme in Adult Nursing.

Clinical practice experience makes up 50% of time on this three year programme.

You will gain a variety of experience within the Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust. There may also be an opportunity for you to practice abroad.

Fundamental knowledge and skills will be learnt and practiced first, before you develop specific in-depth knowledge and skills to meet complex health needs of people.

The course received 100% overall satisfaction in the National Student Survey 2021

Professional accreditation
This course is approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as the statutory body and regulator of nursing and midwifery healthcare professions.

We now accept NVQ Level 3 in a healthcare related discipline - you must be currently working as a healthcare assistant with 2 years’ work experience.

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme
