Course summary
The BA (Hons) Business Law and Management degree at Cardiff Met is recognised by the Institute of Legal Secretaries and PAs (ILSPA) and the Council for Licensed Conveyancers (CLC) and will enable you to develop a customisable skill set while still fulfilling the specific requirements of a specialist legal career. Our mantra is 'Get Competent, Get Qualified, Get Hired.'
Broaden your horizons beyond the traditional professions of solicitors and barristers to embrace other legal professional roles, such as Paralegal, Legal Secretary, Probate Technician and Probate Practitioner. You will put legal theory to practice in our purpose-built mock courtroom and develop your knowledge and employability in the fields of business and management.
We aim to create an open, supportive, and intellectually stimulating environment which will enable you to investigate the interrelation of law and business through modules designed in line with the needs of industry.
We offer this degree with two study options. You can choose three years full-time or four years full-time which would include a one-year industry placement between years two and three that will give you hands-on experience in a real-life working environment. This year in industry gives you practical skills that many employers seek, giving you a competitive edge upon graduation.
