Birkbeck's BSc International Business brings you up to date with the rapidly changing environments in which multinational enterprises operate and in which local businesses achieve international reach.
Designed to meet the buoyant demand for more international business graduates, this degree provides you with a solid foundation for a career in a multinational company or in a company engaged in international business. You will deepen your knowledge of a broad range of management issues in key areas, including:
international strategic management
marketing
finance and operations management
human resource management
accounting
managerial economics.
This international business degree attracts students from both the public and private sectors, including administrators and managers, as well as entrepreneurs and the self-employed. Because it is taught entirely in the evening, you can combine your academic studies with other daytime commitments, including work, volunteering and interning, and other personal commitments. Evening study lets you use your days to gain invaluable practical experience in the workplace, so you can get a head start in a competitive job market, secure a promotion, or launch or expand your own business or social enterprise.

You can study this course full- or part-time. You can also choose your own timetable for the core/compulsory modules selecting whether to study them in the daytime or in the evening.
Foundation Year
If you opt for the Foundation Year route, this will fully prepare you for undergraduate study. It is ideal if you are returning to study after a gap, or if you have not previously studied the relevant subjects, or if you didn't achieve the grades you need for a place on your chosen undergraduate degree.
