Course Overview
Our BSc Microbiology degree will equip you with a sound scientific grounding in microbiology and its applications in areas including biotechnology, environmental research, food security and human health.

In your final year you’ll undertake an extended research project which will allow you to apply your knowledge and practical skills to an in-depth study.

You'll have access to state-of-the-art biotechnology equipment in our laboratories including microscopes, cell culture, sequencing and molecular biology facilities.
Future careers
Your Microbiology Degree could lead to work as microbiologist, a biomedical scientist or a researcher in laboratories across the world with further study.
