
Course summary
If you have always had an interest in leadership and management and enjoy finding out about the world of commerce to develop your career. The HND Leadership and Management will give you at Level 4 units the foundations of learning by providing a broad introduction to business and different business functions. This develops and strengthens core skills while preparing the student for study at Level 5 or to enter employment with the qualities necessary for job roles that require some personal responsibility.
Students will gain a wide range of business knowledge and relevant practical skills gained through the different assessment methods, this will take the form of research, independent study, and workplace scenarios. Students are involved in activities that help them to develop vocational behaviours, communication, teamwork, research and analysis, which are highly valued in higher education and the workplace.
Whether you’re already employed or not, the Higher National pathway will help you on a rewarding career path in a wide range of areas including management in industry and commerce, finance, marketing, sales and human resource management.
On completion of your HNC you can progress to a HND.
