Qualification requirements
UCAS Tariff - Not accepted
A level - AAB
Excluding General Studies.
Grade A in one of the following subjects: Biology/Human Biology, Chemistry, Economics, Environmental Studies, Geography, Life and Health Sciences (Double Award only), Marine Science, Physics, Psychology or Maths/Pure Maths/Further Maths.
Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016) - DDD
Applicants studying one of the following BTEC Extended Diplomas will be considered without GCE AL Science: Applied Science, Animal Management, Agriculture, Countryside Management, Fish Management, Forestry and Arboriculture, Marine Biology.
Applicants studying any other BTEC Extended Diploma will be required to achieve a Grade A at A Level in one of the following Science subjects: Biology/Human Biology, Chemistry, Life and Health Sciences (Double Award only), Marine Science, Physics, Psychology or Maths/Pure Maths/Further Maths.
Access to HE Diploma - D: 30 credits M: 15 credits
Pass the Access to HE Diploma with 30 L3 credits at Distinction grade and 15 L3 credits at Merit grade. To include 15 L3 credits at Distinction grade in one of the following subject areas: Biology/Human Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Psychology or Maths/Pure Maths/Further Maths.
Scottish Higher - AAABB
Grade A in one of the following subjects: Biology/Human Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Psychology or Maths/Pure Maths/Further Maths.
Scottish Advanced Higher - ABB
Grade A in one of the following subjects: Biology/Human Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Psychology or Maths/Pure Maths/Further Maths.
International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme - 34 points
Applicants will be considered with IB 34 OR 665 in three Higher Level subjects. All applicants are required to have HL Grade 6 in one of the following subjects: Biology/Human Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Psychology or Maths (Analysis and Approaches OR Applications and Interpretations)/Pure Maths/Further Maths.
GCSE Maths at grade B or 5.
English language requirements
GCSE English Language with a minimum pass of Grade C or 4
