Course summary

Research in the Department is focussed around four substantive research clusters and research units: Gender Sexuality and Inequalities; Language and Social Interaction; Science Health and Technology; Culture Values and Practices. You can choose whether to work with a particular member of staff on independent research or you can conduct your research within one of the department's research units.

Sponsorship information

University offers range of studentships and scholarships for full-time graduate students, bursaries (40% of fee) for part-time students, scholarships (on competitive basis) for overseas candidates of high academic ability, limited number of bursaries (contribution towards tuition fees) for self-financing students who meet unexpected financial problems; ESRC offers studentships.
