Course summary

A HND in Leadership and Management will give you a comprehensive understanding of business principles and practices and is an ideal platform to a wide range of career opportunities in areas such as marketing, finance, management and human resources.
The HND programme is developed with practical learning and employers in mind and employers contribute to the qualification in a number of ways:
they are involved designing the HND from developing the structure, to selecting subjects, developing content and approving qualifications
they help deliver qualifications, such as masterclasses, speakers/workshops and work experience opportunities.
they review and update the HND qualification to meet occupational standards and provide supporting material, such as case studies, to reflect the real world of The course will cover a broad range of business aspects and functions with a focus on management and how to enhance business performance through strategic business planning. You will gain a wide range of business knowledge tied to practical skills gained through research, independent study, directed study and workplace scenarios. You will be involved in vocational activities that will help you to develop vocational behaviours (the attitudes and approaches required for a competence) and transferable skills.
Transferable skills are those such as communication, teamwork, research and analysis, which are highly valued in higher education and the workplace.work.
Successful completion of a HND requires 240 credits, of which 120 credits are at Level 5 (8 units) and 120 credits are at Level 4 (8 units)

Modules

The course will cover a broad range of business aspects and functions with a focus on management and how to enhance business performance through strategic business planning. You will gain a wide range of business knowledge tied to practical skills gained through research, independent study, directed study and workplace scenarios. Assessment method

You will be assessed using the following methods:
Centre-developed internal assignments that are set and assessed by Moulton College
Pearson (Awarding body) set assignments, which are set by Moulton College in line with our guidelines and graded by the College.
Assignments may include: Written reports, formal presentations, academic posters or practical assignments.

Qualified teacher status (QTS)

To work as a teacher at a state school in England or Wales, you will need to achieve qualified teacher status (QTS). This is offered on this course for the following level:

The College will charge a fee of £9,000 per annum for undergraduate students, £7,200 per annum for HND/HNC students, ( £3600 -part-time) £9,000 for BSc Construction Top- Up students.
£9,000 for BSc (Hons) Animal Behavioural Science & Welfare( Top-up) Students, £9,000 for BSc (Hons) Equine performance and Therapies Top-Up Students, £9,000 for BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy Top-Up students and £9,000 for BSc (Hons) Sports Performance and Coaching Top-up students
Students who started their courses in previous academic years will continue to pay the same fee as when they started.
