Course summary
About the course
Pursue your interests in theatre and performance, with the added benefit of studying a language.
Through a distinctive combination of practice and theory, you examine theatre's historical, political and cultural contexts. You'll discover how theatre has impacted on society and encourages new modes of thinking.
Alongside this, you'll develop skills in theatre-making and performance analysis. You have the opportunity to use our versatile facilities, including the state-of-the-art Attenborough Centre for the Creative Arts on campus.
Choose one language from Arabic, British Sign Language, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese or Spanish.

Leaving this behind to travel in my 20s changed this trajectory and inspired me to study Zoology. Meeting incredible scientists and visiting conservation projects sparked a passion for the natural world and its protection. This experience led me to pursue a degree in zoology as a mature student. I have learned about the delicate balance in ecosystems and the pressing need for conservation efforts. I am hoping to build a career in this field. Extended Project
We take the EPQ into account when considering your application and it can be useful in the summer when your results are released if you have narrowly missed the conditions of your offer. We do not routinely include the EPQ in the conditions of your offer but we sometimes offer alternative conditions that include the EPQ.
