Throughout the world and increasingly in the UK, clinical legal education is becoming central to legal education.
Why study Law (Graduate Entrant) (Clinical) at Strathclyde?

The course involves taking the standard LLB and in addition, undertaking:
skills training
ethical education
work on actual legal cases
You’ll reflect on the skills, ethics and justice and on your cases in designated classes (core clinical classes).
In addition, you’ll be assessed on the basis of reflection on Law Clinic cases, alongside existing forms of assessment on the standard syllabus of selected standard LLB classes (clinically available classes).
Your Career
Opportunities are available in law firms, legal departments of local and national government, and numerous large organisations which often have in-house legal teams.
Recent graduate job roles include:

Qualified teacher status (QTS)

- Stage One: Once you have submitted your UCAS application you will be invited to submit an application to the Strathclyde Law Clinic. This is a paper based application which will be sent to you directly by the Department. This application will be considered by members of the Law Clinic. If you are successful at this stage, you will proceed to stage two.
- Stage Two: Applicants who reach stage two will be required to interview face to face for a position in the Law Clinic. For applicants based overseas, this may be done by Skype. Applicants who are unsuccessful at interview may be made an alternative offer on a non-Clinical LLB programme.

Additional fee information
Undergraduate students who live in Scotland will usually have their tuition fees paid by the Student Awards Agency Scotland (SAAS). If you have previously attended university or college or are not sure about your eligibility, you should contact SAAS to check your eligibility to have your fees paid. SAAS will pay your tuition fees directly to Strathclyde.
Most undergraduate students from the rest of the UK (England, Wales and Northern Ireland) will receive a free year of tuition as, assuming no change in Rest of UK fees policy over the period, the total amount payable by undergraduate students will be capped. For students commencing study next session, this is capped at £27,750. Students studying on Integrated Masters degree programmes pay an additional £9,250 for the Masters year with the exception of those undertaking a full-year industrial placement where a separate placement fee will apply.
