Inspired by the key technologies of the fourth industrial revolution (Industry 4.0) and the idea of the factories of the future (the smart factories), UWE Bristol has developed a Master’s degree to create a multidisciplinary award that builds and prepares the Mechatronics Engineers of the Future.
BEng/MEng Mechatronics Engineering addresses the global demand for sustainable and digital manufacturing practices, using current technological developments that offer potential solutions to environmental challenges within the industry.
Mechatronics subjects are aligned with Digital, Electrical and Electronic, Mechanical, and Robotics, and UWE Bristol have well-established programmes and research groups in each of these discipline areas. This degree is designed to have broad appeal for a substantial body of students from a wide range of STEM disciplines and will be accessible to students from different academic entry routes.
A Master’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering will prepare students for an engineering career in a range of sectors including transport, logistics, robotics, health, defence, manufacturing, digital transformation, automotives, research and renewable energy.
