Mae’r BA Cymraeg, Cyfryngau a Chysylltiadau Cyhoeddus yn cyrraedd anghenion myfyrwyr a chyflogwyr yr unfed ganrif ar hugain.

Dewch i ddysgu am lenyddiaeth, iaith a diwylliant Cymru ac archwilio meysydd prysur y cyfryngau a chysylltiadau cyhoeddus ar y cwrs gradd BA cydanrhydedd hwn. Byddwch yn astudio amrywiaeth eang o lenyddiaeth gan gynnwys dramâu, straeon byrion a nofelau, yn ogystal â barddoniaeth o'r traddodiad barddol canoloesol i geneuon protest modern. Byddwch yn meithrin dealltwriaeth gadarn o iaith a gramadeg Cymraeg, ieithyddiaeth a pholisi cynllunio iaith, ac yn dysgu sgiliau cyfieithu gwerthfawr. Ochr yn ochr â hyn, byddwch yn dysgu am ddamcaniaethau allweddol ym meysydd y cyfryngau a chysylltiadau cyhoeddus a'u heffaith ar ein cymdeithas a'r ffordd rydym yn cyflawni busnes. Drwy gydol eich astudiaethau, byddwch yn meithrin sgiliau ymchwil a dadansoddi ardderchog ac yn dysgu sut i gyflwyno eich syniadau'n effeithiol ar lafar ac yn ysgrifenedig.

Mae gennym fodiwlau iaith, cyfryngau, llenyddiaeth, a bolisi a chyfraith iaith.
Mae astudio dramor yn gyfle gwych i brofi diwylliant arall, i wneud ffrindiau o bob cwr o'r byd ac i gael profiad gwerthfawr i'ch paratoi ar gyfer y byd ar ôl i chi gwblhau'ch astudiaethau. Bydd myfyrwyr cynllun gradd pedair blynedd sy'n cynnwys blwyddyn dramor yn gallu astudio mewn prifysgol bartner yn eu trydedd flwyddyn.

O ran y Cyfryngau a Chysylltiadau Cyhoeddus, bydd y cwrs yn dy helpu i ddatblygu dealltwriaeth gref o ddamcaniaethau yn y meysydd hyn. Byddi di hefyd yn datblygu ymwybyddiaeth o ddatblygiadau cyfredol a newidiol a’r effaith y maent yn ei chael ar gymdeithas a’r byd busnes. Byddi’n cael dy ddysgu gan ddarlithwyr sy’n derbyn bri rhyngwladol am eu gwaith ymchwil ac sy’n arwain yn eu meysydd. Mae dau Brifardd ac enillwyr Llyfr y Flwyddyn ymhlith aelodau o staff Adran y Gymraeg. Mae ein campws dafliad carreg yn unig o’r traeth ac eto i gyd wedi ei leoli mewn dinas fywiog. UCAS Tariff - 112 - 128 points

A level - ABB - BBC

A Level Welsh will be required for Second Language Welsh Speakers but not for First.

Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016) - DDM - DMM

Access to HE Diploma - D: 21 credits M: 24 credits

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme - 30 - 33 points

International students will also require a score of 4 at Higher Level English Language or Literature, or 5 at Standard Level English Language or Literature.

WJEC Level 3 Advanced Skills Baccalaureate Wales

Swansea University accepts the Advanced Skills Baccalaureate Wales as fully equivalent to x1 A-Level.

Welsh Baccalaureate - Advanced Skills Challenge Certificate (last awarded Summer 2024)

Swansea University will accept the Welsh Baccalaureate - Advanced Skills Challenge Certificate as fully equivalent to one A-Level.

Leaving Certificate - Higher Level (Ireland) (first awarded in 2017) - H3, H3, H3, H3, H3, H3

Welsh GCSE Minimum Grade C (4).

English language requirements

For applicants whose first language is not English we require a minimum overall IELTS score of 6.0 (or equivalent) and no less than 5.5 in each component.
