Are you curious about creativity and its impact on wellbeing? Would you like to know more about how the arts are used in health and social care settings? Are you interested in working creatively with people?
Creativity and the arts can support our physical and emotional health and wellbeing in many ways. They are widely recognised as a powerful tool and are becoming more integrated into a range of services.
Taught by City of Bristol College, this full-time degree course will teach you about therapeutic approaches and the theory behind them across a range of art forms, including: visual arts, crafts, drama, music, movement and creative writing. You will explore how different creative practices can be used in a variety of settings to support wellbeing.
The course is experiential, with opportunities for you to engage in personal enquiry, reflection and personal development.
You'll be taught by experienced practitioners and will work collaboratively with many local organisations, gaining practical experience as well as theoretical knowledge.
This course is delivered by City of Bristol College in collaboration with Bath Spa University
By the end of the Creative Therapeutic Practice degree course you will have developed the skills and awareness to work in a variety of settings using creative arts to support health and wellbeing.

Throughout the BA Creative Therapeutic Practice, you will work in a practical placement setting in order to gain skills and enable the integration of theory and practice.
