Course summary

Occupational therapists recognise the interaction between the person, their environment and the activities that they complete in everyday life. They promote independence by taking a ‘whole-person approach’ to both mental and physical health, thus enabling individuals to achieve their full potential.

This BSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy course enables you to develop the knowledge and skills to become a safe, competent and effective occupational therapy practitioner. Upon successful completion of the course you can apply for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council to practice as an occupational therapist.

Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016) - DMM

in a Science, Health or Care subject (not including Uniformed Public Services)

Access to HE Diploma

Access to Higher Education Diploma Full award (60 credits) in Health Studies, Health Science, Nursing or other Science based course of which a minimum of 45 must be at Level 3 with at least 24 of these Level 3 credits at Merit or Distinction. You are also required to have achieved a minimum of 12 credits at Level 2 or 3 in English plus 12 credits at Level 2 or 3 in Mathematics plus 12 credits at Level 2 or 3 in a Science based subject within the Access or evidence of GCSE English, Maths and Science at grade C+/4 or equivalent.

Pearson BTEC Diploma (QCF) - D*D

in a Science, Health or Care subject (not including Uniformed Public Services)

GCSE/National 4/National 5

GCSE English, Mathematics or Science at grade C / 4+ or an acceptable equivalent qualification, i.e., Functional Skills Level 2 / Key Skills Level 2. Please note we do NOT accept GCSE Short courses.

OCR Cambridge Technical Extended Diploma - DMM

in a Science, Health or Care subject (not including Uniformed Public Services)
