No script, no sales pitch, just honest conversations about what each institution offers and whether it's right for you.
Employer and apprenticeship zone: Not sure university is for you? Our dedicated Employer and Apprenticeship Zone brings together major employers and training providers. Find out about degree apprenticeships, school-leaver programmes, and alternative routes into careers.
Subject spotlights: Wondering what studying Psychology actually involves? Curious about the difference between Economics and Business Studies? Our subject sessions give you a realistic preview of different degree programmes.
The UCAS Springpod cinema: Take a break from the crowds and watch short films about university subjects and career paths. These video programmes offer insights from current students and recent graduates about their experiences, plus practical advice on applications and decision-making.
UCAS expert advice and careers guidance: Our staff are on hand to demystify the application process – from understanding entry requirements and UCAS points to crafting personal statements. Qualified careers advisers are also available to discuss your options beyond the application itself, helping you connect your choices to longer-term goals. We'll cut through the jargon and make sure you leave knowing exactly what steps to take next.
These events bring together everything you need to make informed decisions about your future – all under one roof. Whether you're certain about your path or completely undecided, you'll leave with clearer ideas, useful contacts, and practical next steps.
UCAS Discovery events
Heading to a UCAS event? Find out what it's really like and how to make the most of it.
"At UCAS Discovery, I spoke to almost every person about different course options available in the subjects I liked, and asked loads of questions. There was one student that spoke who said, ‘If you study something that you love, you don’t feel like you’re studying it’, which was so inspirational I decided to study geography at Swansea University."
"There were so many universities to speak to and activities to get involved in. I got valuable insights into student life and course structures from the universities I’m applying to. It was a really valuable experience."
