Challenge #4: Making choices


As competition grows, what needs to happen to maintain the quality and breadth of choice for students? Personalised, high-quality careers information, advice, and guidance (CIAG) which enables young people to explore all the options that are available to them holds the key. With apprenticeships frequently an unknown quantity or perceived as a less prestigious option, a central part of this project is making sure that there is equity between technical and academic pathways, with CIAG again, front and centre.
The contributors in this section offer some tangible insights for the sector about how we can equip our graduates with the skills and attributes they need to thrive, thus supporting our industries and economy towards a brighter future in our shifting world.
