Student life

Our campus is home to 29,000 students from approximately 150 countries around the world.

The university offers a wide range of facilities to students, enabling them to have the best academic and extra curricular experience.

  • There are currently more than 300 student-run clubs and societies. These give you the chance to meet new friends, do the things you love, or try something new – performing, exploring other cultures, food, film, music, volunteering and much more.
  • On campus the Copper Rooms and the Terrace Bar have club nights, there’s karaoke and open mic at the Dirty Duck, and a cinema at Warwick Arts Centre.
  • Off campus, there's live music, clubs and bars in both Coventry and Leamington Spa. There are also theatres, an art gallery, and food and music festivals nearby.

Many employment options are available on campus, including working in cafes, bars or Warwick Arts Centre, or becoming one of our student ambassadors.

What's it like to live in West Midlands?
Check out our region guide

The West Midlands is made up of Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire, and Worcestershire. Its main cities are Birmingham, Coventry, and Wolverhampton.

It’s the most diverse part of the country behind London, with a proud multicultural history, from the birth of Two-Tone music in Coventry – a combination of Caribbean ska and English punk – to the Balti curry, courtesy of Birmingham’s Pakistani community.

Once the heart of heavy industry and manufacturing, and the inspiration for Peaky Blinders, Birmingham is one of the youngest cities in Europe, with over 40% under 25 years old.
