The Royal College of Music sits in the heart of South Kensington, widely considered one of London’s most attractive and desirable places to live and work. RCM's hall of residence, Prince Consort Village, provides high-quality, varied accommodation for more than 400 students with special amentities to support music studies such as on-site acoustic practise spaces. Many first year students choose to live here to meet other students, enjoying life in London together.

The RCM has recently invested £40 million to expand their state-of-the-art facilities across the campus. It offers impressive performance spaces, matched only by its internationally renowned, exceptional academic professors who offer one to one teaching alongside specialist technicians working in advanced audio, video and composition facilities. 

The College's new spaces include two extra performance venues, Amadeus Music Pods for private practise, organ rooms and percussion suite, instrument storage, a beautiful Antrim with social and cafe spaces plus a unique on-site music museum with rare exhibits.

Our library contains more than 200,000 scores, books and recordings in its lending collection, plus access to more than 400 music journals, subscriprions to Oxford Music Online, Naxos Music Library, JSTOR, Met Opera on Demand and the Berlin Philharmonic Digital Concert Hall and boasts an internationally renowned collection of original manuscripts early printed editions and archives.
