Iain Earle is a Lecturer in Business Management (Sport), and Programme Leader for International Event Management and Applied Football Studies in the Business School at the University of Salford, Greater Manchester. With a creative professional background in the music business industry, Iain has worked as an Event Management practitioner for major music, sporting & cultural events, including Glastonbury, Creamfields, The Football Association, The Lowry Theatre and others. Recently, Iain has developed the first HE lead programme for Esports, which was launched in September 2023. Iain has research interest in event operations, event ticketing and Esports business management, and has completed research papers on best ticketing practice for the FIFA 2022 World Cup in Qatar, and the applications of mobile device usage at UK music festivals.
