Meet the academics

Dr Stephe Harrop

Dr Stephe Harrop is Associate Professor of Drama at Liverpool Hope University, where she teaches acting, directing, ensemble, theatre histories, and contemporary storytelling. In 2018, she published Greek Tragedy and the Contemporary Actor (co-authored with Zachary Dunbar), which won the ADSA prize for best monograph in drama and theatre studies. Her new book, Contemporary Storytelling Performance: Female Artists on Practices, Platforms, Presences, is forthcoming from Routledge in 2023. When she’s not teaching or researching, Stephe tours nationally and internationally as a contemporary storyteller. Her current repertoire includes two shows exploring forgotten stories of mythic England - Henry V: The King’s Knickers (2019) and Queens of Albion: Bronze and Stone (2022).
