My favourite Python library is drawdata, my favourite things are my bike and a teacup...and my favourite places on campus are our awesome library and the games room at County bar. 
I did not take Computer Science for A-level and my favourite subject was actually biology. So, I was choosing between a lot of options (like Marine biology, Mechanical engineering, Data science, Economics and, of course, Computer science). However, I have not regretted picking Computer Science since starting university as it turned out to be an interesting course suitable for any level of experience. I also do Accounting and Finance as my minor.

I completed my Master’s in Molecular Medicine and am currently pursuing a PhD focused on wastewater monitoring for pathogenic fungal infections and antifungal resistance. I am a first year Economics student in Stephenson College at Durham University. I am originally from Portugal, although I moved to Manchester when I was 6 years old with my parents and twin brother. My brother and I are the first in our family to go to uni so being at Durham has been a really great experience!!!
