Beyond my studies, I’ve also contributed as a welcome helper for the Student Representative Council, supporting new students as they transition to university life. Additionally, over the past two years, I have served as a class representative for Astro 3 and Astro 4, which has allowed me to build connections within my cohort and represent their interests effectively. I am currently in my penultimate year of the Physics with Astrophysics MSci program at the University of Glasgow. Hi! I’m 2nd year studying a joint honours in Management and Philosophy, having changed from a senior honours in Economics! I have taken modules in Business Law, Entrepreneurship , Marketing, HR, Finance, Maths, Economics, Operations etc. I volunteer with scouts and am in the Army OTC! I also am a part of Hare and Hounds, Tennis, Tri and Mountaineering. I am Treasurer of the Walking Club, VP of the Business Soc and Captain of the Orienteering and Fell Running Club. Happy, thoughtful, mad and passionate would be the 4 words to describe me!  I am also a proud NGO secretary which has led me to speak as a delegate at 2 UN Commissions. I developed my inter personal and problem solving skills as Philosophy Rep partaking in a subject periodic review.

I initially came to Glasgow to study zoology but quickly changed to microbiology after discovering my passion for infectious diseases and lab work. I am secretary for Glasgow University Immunity & Infection Society and UofG Antimicrobials & Antimicrobial Resistance Society. I also run and act as secretary for an anti-hate crime charity in Kilmarnock called 4ward2gether which I have done since 2019. Starting university can be very daunting but don’t be nervous as so many other people are feeling the same! I will do my best to help you with any questions you may have!

This constant attention to news channels, whether that be on the TV or written, became a part of my daily life, naturally. This passion grew over time and by the age of 7, it had transformed into wanting to become an investigative journalist and write everything I experienced and how it differs from other personal experiences.
