Hi, I'm Alexia. I have lived in Romania for 11 years before coming to London. The transition from Romania to the UK was challenging as I had to adapt to a new language and way of life. However, it's been an incredible journey so far. I am currently in my third year studying psychology at Goldsmiths. I have decided to pursue this degree because I was curious about the human mind and behaviour and here at Goldsmiths I can explore this further. After completing my undergraduate studies, I want to take a gap year to travel, as well as gain experience in the field that I am interested in. My dissertation research is focusing on multiagency collaboration between the different emergency services during major incidents! I am heading into my second year working as a research assistant for Dr Katie Alcock as part of the psychology department’s employability program (PEP), looking at the differences in gender constancy between neurotypical people and autistic people, as well as a new project testing young children’s Theory of Mind!
