Our Mathematics with Economics BSc (Hons) degree will give you the strong mathematical background necessary for a thorough understanding of modern economics.
Economics relates to every aspect of our lives, from the decisions we make as individuals to the policies adopted by governments and the products and services offered by companies. By combining the study of mathematics with economics, you will be equipped with the tools to not only understand global challenges, but to also provide solutions.
Our BSc Mathematics with Economics degree is a great choice for those who want to build a career in commerce, industry or government. By giving you a solid grounding in mathematics together with an understanding of economics, our Mathematics with Economics degree will prepare you for careers in such areas as finance, business forecasting and economic model building.
No previous knowledge of economics is necessary as the first two years provide a comprehensive introduction to theory and policy in both macroeconomics and microeconomics.
For a full list of areas studied, see the 'What You'll Study' section of the course page on our website.

Tuition fee status depends on a number of criteria and varies according to where in the UK you will study. For further guidance on the criteria for home or overseas tuition fees, please refer to the UKCISA website.
The fees stated above are for the 2025/26 academic year; fees for 2026/27 have not yet been confirmed by the UK government. We will update this information as soon as it is available. Fees are reviewed annually and are likely to increase to take into account inflationary pressures.
While the cost of your tuition covers lots of things, it doesn’t cover everything. For instance this course doesn’t cover the cost of any stationery, printing, books or re-assessments which you might need.
UK tuition fees align with the applicable fee caps set by the UK government, and as such they are subject to changes made to the agreed cap in a specific year.
