Course summary

Italia Conti’s Cert HE Introduction to Dance is designed to train you in the dance skills needed to embark on a full-time degree course in dance or the performing arts. It is aimed at those who wish to enhance their existing dance skills with a view to moving onto full time dance training at an accredited Dance School or on a practical University course. It will enable you to experience the rigours of vocational training and enable you to make informed choices about your future.

This one-year full-time programme delivers a distinctive and intensive skills training in a range of dance styles, including ballet, jazz and contemporary dance, as well as aerial and acrobatic skills. Italia Conti’s CertHE Introduction to Dance course is designed to give you a clear understanding of what professional dance training and the work of a professional dancer entails and you will begin to develop the skills that form the foundation of a dancer’s professional training.

Audition
Applicants will need to submit a secondary application to Italia Conti. Once received they will be sent further audition information which will include a self tape submission for the 1st round and if successful a recall in person at our Woking, Surrey campus.
