This Foundation Degree is the perfect gateway to employment in an exciting and vibrant industry, studying in the heart of a region that has recently seen significant investment in the media industry and is arguably now the country's key creative hub outside of London.
We offer a hands-on exploration of digital media production in the fields of video, audio, graphics, multimedia and television, combining knowledge of technical systems and processes with an awareness of industry practice.
Through engaging briefs, and with the support of enthusiastic lecturers, you will develop the skills to help you become a flexible and multi-disciplined media practitioner, ready to launch your own career in media production.
Year 1: Video Production, Basic Media Production, Computer Graphics, Creative and Technical Development, Interactive Media Production.
Year 2: Professional Practice, Video Production and Technology, Sound Design and Production, Video Post-Production, (Optional Module) Graphic Communication, (Optional Module) Radio Production.
A variety of practical-based assessment will be used, including a personal and professional development portfolio, record logs, presentations and pitches to 'clients', short essays/written records, group and individual projects, and product creation and production.
