The HNC Civil Engineering Studies course is intended as your first step towards becoming a Professional Engineering Technician. Engineering Technicians are concerned with the solution of different types of engineering problems using proven techniques and theories.
Engineering Technicians are equipped to carry out supervisory and technical roles within industrial and public organisations, and are competent to apply their skills within defined fields of technology.
Practitioners that undertake the HNC Civil Engineering Studies course will have the opportunity to develop their competencies in theoretical and practical knowledge of civil engineering procedures and their application for the solution of real-life problems.
Successful completion of the course will enable graduates to explore further education opportunities by progressing to a Civil Engineering degree, to seek Incorporated or Chartered Civil Engineering status and to become a practitioner in the global community.
