Course summary
FdA Musical Theatre and Performance at Emil Dale Academy is a two-year, full time vocational course for anyone aged 16+ with the standard Level 3 UCAS points required for FdA entry wishing to start their training to become a professional performer in Musical Theatre. Emil Dale Academy has an established reputation for delivering courses from ages 16 (sixth form) to degree level, with the necessary faculty, resources and leadership in place to understand student development and experience at this age.
Studying a course at this level allows established, committed and dedicated performers the opportunity to enhance their skill set alongside professional development and expectations, giving them an insight into the industry on a real and practical level, empowering students to move on to a sustainable career in Musical Theatre.
EDA has a brand-new facility to train in, giving students the most current and exciting place to learn and grow, all led by a team of industry professionals in the field. Students will work and train with visiting industry experts as well as with our creative and knowledgeable resident faculty. The combination of the collected experience of these practitioners will shape students intensive training through different approaches to styles and technique. Students be led through the process of understanding employment in the industry and the need for personal promotion through career planning. These elements will further contextualise their practice, broadening their appeal within a highly competitive industry.
EDA has high-profile industry recognition, with graduates obtaining work across all areas of the sector – from leading roles in Frozen, Harry Potter, Six and more, to Netflix series such as Heartstopper, Eastenders, cruise line performance jobs, community theatre, music groups and plays. EDA’s reputation for producing exceptional performers is prolific in the industry, and we are known as pioneering in the industry.
