Course summary

The Foundation Degree in Esports aims to help students to develop a range of skills, knowledge and understanding that will prepare them for employment in the Esports and wider media industries and/or progression onto further academic study.

The course focuses on competitive video gaming and innovation that intertwines established disciplines of games design, media, business, enterprise, marketing, health and wellbeing, broadcasting, culture and coaching. Students will organise events, strategize and manage team play, produce media products and embrace emerging technologies. Students studying on the course will benefit from learning in fantastic up the minute dedicated Esports facilities, enthusiastic staff and excellent support.

Through a combination of strategies, coaching, competitive play analysis, Esports games design, health, broadcasting and events planning assessments and projects, work placement opportunities, academic skills and theory development, students will graduate with a strong set of multi-disciplinary skills, preparing them to access a variety of career opportunities.
