What is GIS?
GIS is a technology at the heart of spatial analysis, used to map things and locations to answer questions, detect patterns, tell stories and make insights that cannot be inferred from spreadsheets and charts.

Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016) DDD - D*DD

Applicants studying one of the following subjects in the BTEC Extended Diploma, BTEC Diploma or BTEC Extended Certificate will be considered without the specific GCE A-Level subject requirements: Applied Human Biology, Applied Psychology, Applied Science, Computing.

Access to HE Diploma D: 30 credits M: 15 credits

Pass the Access to HE Diploma with 30 L3 credits at Distinction grade and 15 L3 credits at Merit grade. To include 15 L3 credits at Distinction grade in a Science subject or related subject area. Please also see our GCSE requirements

Scottish Higher AAAAB - AAAAA

Science subject at grade A required.

Scottish Advanced Higher AAB - AAA

Science subject at grade A required.

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme 36 - 38 points

Applicants will be considered with IB 38 -36 OR 766 or 666 in three Higher Level subjects. All applicants will be required to have HL Grade 6 in a Science subject.

English language requirements

GCSE English Language with a minimum pass of Grade C or 4
