Prepare for a rewarding career in law and justice with our LLB Law programme. Your learning be tailored around career success by designing modules that reflect the current and future needs of employers and the legal profession. You will explore the impact of technology and AI on law, while developing essential professional skills. You’ll also have the opportunity to shadow lawyers and judges, complete a year-long work placement, and support the local community through our legal advice schemes.

This course is also available with:
• Study Abroad – study with one of our partner Universities for a semester or a year.

This programme covers the foundational legal knowledge required by the Bar Standards Board and the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA). You’ll also gain essential digitals skills through platforms like LinkedIn Learning, where you'll learn:

Year 1: Contract Law, Tort Law, Legal Systems and Legal Digital Skills, Criminal Law, An Introduction to Legal Ethics and Concepts, Legal Writing and Analytical Skills.
Year 2: Public Law, European Union Law and the UK, Land Law, Legal Professional Development. You will also choose an elective module. Please visit the website for more information.
On completion of year 2 you will undertake a year's paid professional placement. You will not pay fees to the University and will earn a wage for the work that you do.
Year 3: Choose between Route 1 and Route 2.
Route 1 - Equity and Trusts, Civil and Criminal Litigation, Company Law, Law in Action.
Route 2 - Equity and Trusts.

Assessments are not just about exams. We use different assessment techniques in different modules and wherever possible these will reflect the types of work you will do in the ‘real world’ for example, portfolio work, multiple choice questions, court visit reports and problem questions. The weighting between exams and coursework varies between modules and years, however exams do still play an important role.
