Course summary

The University of Brighton Business Management BSc(Hons) with integrated foundation year provides an extra year of study at foundation level. This option can open up new opportunities in this subject area if you do not hold the required academic qualifications. This route may also be a good option if you are changing career or returning to study.

You'll complete four modules in the foundation year. They will allow you to explore contemporary debates in business and law, developing a strong understanding of the principles. You'll build the transferable skills that are essential for study at degree level, and consider the relationship between theory and practice and how this relates to debates and issues in business.

Learning is through a mixture of lectures, small group teaching in workshops and seminars, private study and course work. You'll be supported throughout by your personal tutor.

Successful completion of the foundation year means that you'll be able to progress to one of the University of Brighton’s business management, event, tourism or marketing degrees. This requires a further three or four years of study. The four year route includes a salaried placement year.
