This Accounting and Finance course has long been a popular choice because of its excellent career prospects. The course is so closely tied to real-world professional requirements that, when you've successfully completed it, you'll be exempt from exam papers from two professional accounting bodies: the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).
The University of Sunderland has a unique partnership with CIMA that allows students on this course to gain a free CIMA student membership for 3 years of study, usually worth over £500. We also require three passes at GCSE grade C or above, which must include Mathematics and English Language, or an equivalent qualification, for example; a minimum of Level 2 Key Skills in Communication and Application of Number. If you have studied for a GCSE which has a numerical grade then you will need to achieve a grade 4 or above.
