The BSc Business Information Technology programme looks at how future managers can grasp the advantages of technology to run the business of the future. This industry-informed undergraduate degree combines practice-based use of digital tools with a challenging academic curriculum bringing together modules from IT, computing and management degrees.
/ Study the application of emerging business technologies and apply digital tools to present digital innovation ideas and solutions.
/ Explore more specialised theories and learn skills that will be transferable across the business and technology industries.
/ Study in a dynamic environment and learn practical management skills from business simulations and live projects.
Our teaching is practical and career-focused, with input from our industry partners, so you'll build the expertise that employers look for. You'll develop personal skills, such as communication and confidence, alongside the practical, including business concepts and the tools and techniques used in the industry.
This programme is also available with:
• Study Abroad – study with one of our partner Universities for a semester or a year.
• Foundation Year – start with the fundamental areas of business and the key skill you need to study at University level.

Year 1: Understanding Organisations, Business Intelligence in Practice, The Future of Business, Digital and Business Skills, Data Analysis for Business, Business Information Systems.
Year 2: Professional Development, Web Applications Development, Project Management, Mobile App Development, Live Project with Business and Information Technology. You will also choose an elective module. Please see the University's course page for more information.
On completion of year 2, you will undertake a year's paid professional placement. You will not pay fees to the University and will earn a wage for the work that you do.
Year 3: Business Ethics and Sustainability, Business Innovation and Digital Transformation, Leadership and Management in Innovation and Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Strategic Management, Business IT Project, Final Project.
