Course summary

Marketing is one of the most exciting, fast-paced and varied careers in the business world combining both creative and analytical skills.

This CIM-accredited degree sets Marketing within the wider business context; you will develop the range of leadership and management skills you need for your career as well as covering key aspects of marketing such as communications, digital marketing and social media marketing. You will also build your personal portfolio of professional evidence which will enhance your CV and help you in job applications and interviews.

The Business Management with Marketing course is accredited by The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) so you know that what you learn is aligned with industry standards. This means you can reduce the number of assessments you need to take after graduation to gain a CIM qualification as well as gaining access to the CIM Marketing club, its regular webinars and newsletter.

Modules

Year 1: Understanding Organisations, Digital and Business Skills, Mobile, Media and Marketing, Data Analysis for Business, The Future of Business, Campaigns in Practice.

Year 2: Professional Development, Customer Experience and Value Creation, Business Intelligence and Dashboards, Project Management, Marketing Communications, Live Project in Digital Marketing. You will also choose an elective module or internship. Please visit the website for more information.

On completion of year 2 you will undertake a year's paid professional placement. You will not pay fees to the University and will earn a wage for the work that you do.

Year 3: Business Ethics and Sustainability, Advanced Digital Marketing, Leadership and Management in Marketing, Marketing In Action, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Strategic Management.

A minimum of 104 - 112 UCAS Tariff Points from a QAA Approved Level 3 Access to HE Diploma to contain a minimum of 45 credits at Level 3 and 15 at Level 2 to total 60 credits overall for the full award.

Scottish Higher

104 - 112 From a minimum of 2 Advanced Highers

104 - 112 From a minimum of 2 A Levels or equivalent. Additional AS Levels can be used towards the overall tariff points provided they are not completed in the same subject as the A Level.

Welsh Baccalaureate - Advanced Skills Challenge Certificate (last awarded Summer 2024)

Extended Project

Leaving Certificate - Higher Level (Ireland) (first awarded in 2017)

104 - 112 from a minimum of 2 Higher Level Subjects including a minimum of H7 (D3) or O4 (C3) in Maths and English

Cambridge International Pre-U Certificate - Principal

104 - 112 Not acceptable on it's own. Points must be gained from a minimum of 2 A Levels or equivalent.

GCSE/National 4/National 5

We require Grade C or 4 (or above) in Maths and English GCSE. Equivalent qualifications Key Skills Level 2, and Functional Skills Level 2, are also accepted.
