On our four-year BSc Education and Psychology degree, you will explore policy and politics, leadership and management, educational practice in a digital age, learning and teaching, education in other countries, diversity and wellbeing in education, child development and educational neuroscience, as well as cognitive, social, developmental, clinical, and biological psychology.
As part of this programme, you will spend a year abroad between your second and final year, broadening your skills and experience. There are many rewarding careers that build on the combined disciplines of psychology and education, including prison education, the education of looking after children, lifelong learning, special educational needs, and community education.
You will have the opportunity to undertake work placements in organisations such as schools, local authorities, businesses, and charities to enhance your student experience and your career prospects. You will need an additional Initial Teacher Education (ITE) or Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) qualification to become a teacher.
