The new UCAS adviser portal replaces Apply for Advisers and Adviser Track, giving teachers complete, real-time oversight of their students’ UCAS Undergraduate applications in one place for free.
There are 6,300 UCAS registered centres (mainly schools and colleges) worldwide who will be using the new service. Around two thirds of the 700,000 undergraduate applications submitted each year are sent through a registered centre.
The adviser portal has a new design, improved functionality, and access to real-time data, while retaining all the essential features from older systems.
Teachers will save time as they sort and filter applications before and after submission, viewing the details of universities’ decisions and offers at the same time as students, making it easier to give immediate, individual support and advice. Tailored management reports can also be downloaded at the click of a button.

‘UCAS has been really responsive to feedback, and they’ve carefully listened to a range of advisers when developing the portal.’
Advisers’ overall satisfaction with UCAS’ services in 2018 remained high, at 95%.
Students can start their applications for courses starting in September 2020 from today, Tuesday 21 May 2019, and submit them from 4 September 2019.
The first application deadline is 15 October 2019 for most medicine, dentistry, and veterinary courses, plus all courses at the universities of Cambridge and Oxford. The on-time deadline for all other courses is 15 January 2020.
