UCAS International has partnered with the GTS Alive Group to offer international students studying in the UK access to discounts and benefits.
Posted Wed 7 December 2022 - 15:09

The new partnership will see the international student identify card (ISIC) offered through the Myriad by UCAS platform, giving cardholders access to hundreds of savings across a variety of products covering study, accommodation, travel, entertainment, food and more.

GTS Alive is the leading ISIC issuer across multiple countries in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, South Asia and Oceania. The partnership with UCAS International will see a pilot launched with students in Spain, India and the United Arab Emirates who are coming to the UK for university or college.

The agreement enhances the range of services offered by Myriad. Users can already search the most comprehensive listing of postgraduate courses as well as countless accommodation, funding and work opportunities in the UK.

Chris Kirk, Director of UCAS International, said: “UCAS research shows that affordability is an important consideration for international students when choosing where to study. As living costs and commodity prices rise across the world, our new partnership with GTS Alive Group will enable us to connect international students in our three pilot countries with valuable discounts while offering a seamless experience as they can research all their options in one place through our Myriad platform.

“This is particularly timely as we see continued growth in the number of international students securing a place at university or college in the UK, with our 2022 End of Cycle data showing a 5.4% increase compared to last year.”

Tomáš Böhm, Group Commercial Director at GTS Alive, said: “We’re pleased to be able to offer international students coming from Spain, India and the UAE studying in the UK hundreds of discounts thanks to this new partnership with UCAS International where they can get their ISIC card with special pricing.”
