The new-look website provides information about different types of apprenticeships, and how to find and apply for them, alongside the well-established information and tools that help students apply to university.
Ucas.com is unique in providing the only accepted route for potential students to apply to UK higher education and currently receives over 75 million page views a year.
The website has been redesigned to make it quicker and easier for users to find the information and advice they need, a process involving a step-by-step consultation with customers. Additional content includes a dedicated advisor section for teachers and profiles of degree apprenticeship opportunities in vocations such as chartered surveying or broadcast engineering.
Andrew Hargreaves, Director of Customer Experience and Marketing, said: “Ucas.com has been designed to offer the customer a more personalised experience when searching for information about their future. A highly visual, user-friendly tile design signposts customers to areas of interest where they have the option to pin content to the top of their homepage allowing them to revisit it easily.
“We’ve also expanded our content to provide information and advice on apprenticeships as part of our commitment to help students make informed choices about their post 16 and post 18 opportunities.”
All the established advice and information for prospective students including applying to university, tracking applications, understanding finance and key dates is still available on the upgraded version.
